Charnwood School of Dance boasts a proud record of 100% pass rate across all exams over the last 25 years.
Our excellent exam and competition results reflect our approach to teaching. Pupils are encouraged to participate in exams and we have a festival team that competes in several competitions throughout the year. Exams are nationally and educationally recognised, attracting UCAS points, which will support applications to University or College. Many students further their dance education before going on to careers in the dance industry.
Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) run the largest number of exams of any dance examination board in the UK. Within the ISTD syllabus, Charnwood School of Dance teach Modern, Jazz and Tap.

Royal Academy of Dance
Charnwood School of Dance offer an internationally-recognised portfolio of exams designed to motivate and encourage students of all ages and levels of ability.
These will gain you UCAS points in the UK.

The Council for Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre (CDMT) provides quality assurance for the professional dance, drama and musical theatre industries.
Charnwood School of Dance is a CDMT Recognised School, reflecting our excellent standard of dance teaching.
